Abstract

Work stress is a psychosocial phenomenon that’s becoming more intense as the demands of the modern workplace get more complex. This study aims to take a comprehensive look at workplace stress dynamics and how it affects employees' psychological well-being. The research uses a qualitative approach through a literature review method. The findings show that work stress is influenced by a complex interaction of individual factors, job factors, and the culture and structure of the organization. Chronic work stress has been shown to contribute to a higher risk of burnout, anxiety disorders, depression, and a decline in work life quality. Organizational support, healthy leadership, and flexible work policies have been shown to act as protective factors. These findings highlight the importance of a holistic approach in human resource management to maintain mental health and sustain organizational performance
