Social Construction of Parents in Lamgugob Village on the Social Function Due to the Proliferation of Student Hangout Spots

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of the parents of the village of Lamgugob towards changes in environmental functions due to the proliferation of student hangouts that have an impact on environmental functions and the social impact of the existence of these hangouts. In our study, the method used is a quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through field observations, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study were the parents of the village of Lamgugob who live around the hangout. After our research, the results of the study showed that most of the parents of the village of Lamgugob have a positive perception and some have a negative perception, the view of the community who have a positive perception is that the proliferation of hangouts around the village of Lamgugob opens economic opportunities for the surrounding community, opening up employment opportunities for young people as cafe waiters (waitresses) at cafes around Lamgugob, the village is more lively. The negative perception of the community is that with the proliferation of hangout spots, many students are passing through the Lambugob area. What were once private spaces or quiet refdssidences have now become centers of economic and social activity that operate late into the night. Their children (informants) also hang out late into the night and don't know when they're going home and their families
