Policy making and implementation are crucial aspects of governance that significantly impact the so-cio-economic development of a country like Bangladesh. Over the period from 2009 to 2024, Bangladesh has faced numerous challenges and obstacles in formulating and executing policies effectively. This study aims to examine the issues and difficulties that Bangladesh faced during this time in developing and imple-menting policies. We have used a qualitative technique for this study, which mainly includes secondary re-sources, consisting of books, newspapers, and periodical articles from the national and international levels. We found various factors contributing to these challenges, including political instability, bureaucratic ineffi-ciency, corruption, lack of coordination, inadequate resources, and external influences. These factors hinder making an appropriate policy for this country. Finally, in this study, we formulated potential solutions and recommendations to address these issues and improve the policy-making process in Bangladesh
